🖤 ISOLATED HEROES X V&A DUNDEE 🖤 Isolated Heroes has been named the exclusive fashion collaborator for V&A Dundee’s new exhibition, Night Fever: Designing Club Culture. The exhibition which explores the relationship between club culture and design will open on Saturday 1 May.   The Night Fever inspired collection will include a limited-edition sequin biker exclusive to the shop at  V&A Dundee which will be available to purchase from 1 May. In addition to the exclusive biker jacket, there will be signature Isolated Heroes t-shirts, sequin sweaters, knitted socks and zero waste face coverings available to purchase from £15. We are proud to be a sustainable, independent business based in Dundee with a loyal creative community of customers. It’s great to see V&A Dundee continue to support and nurture the talented design community in Scotland, especially in our hometown of Dundee and we are excited to be part of the Night Fever exhibition. 90’s club culture has always been a big inspiration for the Isolated Heroes brand so this collaboration is such a great fit. Collaborating with V&A Dundee helps us widen our demographic and allows us to demonstrate that fashion success stories can be achieved north of the border.   The Isolated Heroes team have been working around the clock on this exciting collab! I am soooo proud of my gals. The most amazing team ever. Over the last few weeks the studio team have hand made a total of 200 items of clothing whilst liaising with our overseas suppliers who have made the amazing socks and working with our UK screen printers who have supplied all the merchandised screen print t-shirts. This has been an amazing opportunity for our team and a mammoth task to fulfil the wholesale order on a short lead time whilst completing the press samples and sending them out to stylists. We cannot wait to share the full collection with you over the next few weeks and give our amazing customers the opportunity to shop this exciting collaboration. xxxSam   We will be releasing the "HARDCORE HAPPINESS" collection over three drops with the first drop landing on Saturday 27th of March 🎉

🖤 I Gemelli x Isolated Heroes Styling🖤 It was so important for the Isolated Heroes team to shoot the new Hardcore Happiness collection and V&A Dundee collaboration by working with as much local Dundee based creative talent as possible.  Our communications queen Chloe chose to include the amazing I Gemelli twins in our V&A Dundee campaign.  The twins focus on progressive unisex styling which was so important to isolated Heroes to be able to showcase the garments to all audiences and spark discussion on gender fluid dressing. Club Culture to us is a safe space where connections can be made and people can feel truly represented and let loose and have fun. Both Ricardo and Alessia are twins and from the same bubble which also meant it was safe to shoot them under current covid guidelines.  The "HARDCORE HAPPINESS" collection will be available over three drops with the final instalment launching in V&A Dundee on the 1st of May 2021.

🖤 THE DESIGN PROCESS🖤 Designing a bespoke collaboration item for V&A Dundee especially for the latest exhibition "Night Fever: a History of Club Culture" was a complete dream come true for the Isolated Heroes studio team. We have always been heavily influenced in club culture whether its from the New York Club Kids with their stacked platforms and DIY outfits to the voluminous puff sleeves and silhouettes of the  80's Blitz Kids. We wanted the collection to take a deep dive into Club culture taking inspiration from the whole journey of clubbing and focusing on our favourite 90's era looking at Acid House and warehouse raves. We wanted to create a slick collection full of wearable pieces featuring the motifs that are instantly recognisable with this time period in club culture. We added a little sprinkle of Isolated Heroes sass and glamour with our trademark sequin fabrics and 90's styling. As always we designed this collection with a circular approach to garment production. Each item was made in house and we considered the life span and styling opportunities of each garment before moving to the manufacture process. The garments were then cut using the most effective sustainable approach to maximise the number of units we could get from each strip of fabric. All of our waste fabrics and offcuts were then used to create the sequin patch work you can see throughout the collection on our large scale sweater motifs and throughout the biker jackets and dresses. The remaining waste fabric was manufactured into #zerowaste face coverings as the perfect accessory and entry level price point so the collection is truly accessible to all.

New Partywear collection released just in time for Christmas and New Year!

We have a huge announcement to share with you all!! We have been extremely lucky to be invited to be a part of the Scotland Re:Designed Runway Show at the V&A Dundee. This project aims to help promote Scottish designers and boosting the Scottish fashion industry which is SOO fab to see!! Our super talented Production team have created a twelve piece high-end range especially for this event and we are so proud of what we have created!! We had the chance to design and make a range with no limitations so our creative minds have been busy at work seeing these epic pieces come to life. This event has been in collaboration with Scotland Re:Design and many other talented Scottish designers so we are honoured to be a part of this exciting project. The showcase will be happening on the 19th of November so all twelve pieces will be on the runway.  Make sure you book a seat to see the showcase or watch our fashion film to be part of this magical night.  We are so excited to see what you all think of the new range!!💖💖  

Samantha and Christie took Isolated Heroes all the way from our studio in Dundee to London for Rock & Roll Bride Live! Our sequin workshop was so popular we had to squeeze in a few extra spaces, and had the best time ever!
