Samantha Paton founded Isolated Heroes in 2012 and quickly became one of Scotland’s leading fashion brands. The original sass queen's infectious personality and transparency with customers has gained a loyal following across the globe. Isolated Heroes currently boast a 60% UK customer and a 40% international customer audience base. Customer relationship building has been key to business growth and Samantha is proud to have created a strong creative community of clients who now call themselves the #SequinSquad with a 40% return customer rate.
A tenacious female founder Samantha’s business values have remained strong from the very beginning - empowering women of all shapes and sizes and encouraging self love through fun, uplifting designs.
Mother of two boys, Samantha provides a platform for a strong, diverse workforce of talented freelancers and graduates. The Scottish fashion Industry is worth £2.8 billion to the Scottish economy and employs just under 30,000 people the majority of which are women and from a diverse background. Samantha is extremely passionate about sharing her platform creating an all important employment funnel in the Scottish creative community particularly providing employment and training opportunities to young women in the sector and offering mentorship to start up fashion brands.
In 2019 Samantha became chair of charity Kindred Clothing, a social enterprise which helps provide opportunities for unemployed young mothers to gain experience in the garment industry. The main goal was to provide these young women with the skills that would boost their confidence and lead on to future jobs, financial independence or further education. The course received SQA accreditation in 2020 and provides training delivered through a series of workshops by industry professionals and pairs the learners with an established business in the creative sector for a six month internship. Isolated Heroes are proud to have two Kindred Clothing graduates as full time employee’s working in our production and manufacturing department.
